The Fellowship works on a pay-by-interest system; in other words, more opportunities become available based on
financial commitments, but no fees or dues are required. Without paying a single dollar, students may attend classes
indefinitely, though they may only attend the standard classes and not the member practices or team trainings. To
receive these benefits, and more, students must become members. This is accomplished by submitting the
membership form and the membership enrollment fee to any officer or instructor. Below is a list of the benefits students
will receive; it is unlikely, but at times we may not be able to provide all these benefits. This is due to the availability of
campus space, the limit of org funding, and other factors beyond our control.
Uniform
A traditional, white-color dobok with the Rising Phoenix logo. (Black-colored uniforms are available for black belts.)
Handbook
The member handbook, which provides both administrative and academic information. It contains all the forms,
philosophies, testing requirements, and procedures used by the Fellowship.
Open Mat
Whenever possible the Fellowship will attempt to reserve extra time before and after class. During these times,
members may work on whatever they desire.
Social Gatherings
Every couple weeks, the Fellowship will hold a social gathering. Members will receive notification on these events.
Additional Class
Half of the classes offered throughout the semester will be limited only to members.
Class Credit
Non-members (Guests) do not receive credit for coming to class. Once a guest joins the Fellowship, he or she will be
put on the Attendance Roster and his presence will be recorded. Students that join late in the semester may not have
accrued enough credits to go up for promotion. This is an incentive to join early.
Testing
Only members may go up for promotion.
Competition Team
Any member may tryout for the competition team, which meets several times a week for advanced training.
Demonstration Team
Any member may tryout for the demonstration team, which meets several times a week for advanced training.
